Evidently a debt "ceiling" really isn't a ceiling at all.....

Are there any people out there that are actually paying attention and CARE about what is going on in our government institutions regarding this matter?  Anyone who is actually looking at this and analyzing with an open mind and a non-individualistic perspective?  Perhaps I am alone in that description.  The mass media is covering this issue in the usual non-informative way they cover everything.  The mass of Americans thus are ill informed and lets face it, do not wish to be better informed.  But alas that is another blog.
Debt ceiling raise request, yet another year to raise it.  Is it not the point of ceiling to create some "limit"? Webster defines it as "an upper usually prescribed limit". Dear President and politicians-that is what I call a "FAIL".  That is why I support to not extend the limit.  Our government is up to its neck in debt.  As is the mass of the populace.  Yet its people are not graced with such nuances as a vote to be further in debt with no negative consequences. In the voted in documents to increase the limit our country is indebted there are no proposed tax increases on the wealthy. Really?

The wealthy represent a top ten percent of our population.  In Gus Lubins' article "15 Mind blowing facts about wealth and the inequality in America" he presents the cold hard facts that I would say no American is aware of.  (http://www.businessinsider.com/15-charts-about-wealth-and-inequality-in-america-2010-4)  Check out the link for the whole story.  I learned about this class inequality in a recent social problems college course.  The non-wealthy people of America astronomically outnumber the wealthy.  Yet we are the ones suffering.  The top 10 percent income own 90% of our country's assets.  In a time where so many of us are struggling to keep our heads above water financially why are these so wealthy, so few not pulling their weight in the tax bracket? (Not to mention that the past President as well as President Obama actually gave them  tax breaks.)  I'm more hard pressed to ask you-why are you just sitting there and taking it?  If you say-there is nothing I can do. Then you are not an American.  American spirit is about doing, not giving up hope and just living a shitty life.  (Alas-yet another blog to come.)

So here we go.  The wealthy politicians that do not care nor represent the base of America's people are passing laws and doing a half ass job at that. When are Americans going to start to care?  When are you going to spend more time researching important issues that effect your life and future than you spend watching "So you think you can dance"?  I want America to come back to existence.  Because right now it does not exist. Right now we are living in the United States of Capitalism.  A country for its wealthy and is govern by its wealthy.  I for one, demand change.

Fact to chew on: The company Apple now has more money than the US government.
